With our state of the art ELISA-based testing systems in conjunction with the kits of industry leader R-Biopharm, Enva are able to offer a range of quantitative testing for the presence of Gluten, Casein, β-lactoglobulin and Egg in food products. These techniques are based upon antigen-antibody interaction to specific allergenic proteins and can allow direct detection of the allergen required across a wide variety of food matrices.
In conjunction with rigorous risk analysis, tight supplier control, staff training and thoroughly researched HACCP plans, external Allergen testing provides manufacturers with the peace of mind that the “free-from” products they are supplying meet the essential provisions of the legislation and standards.
Enva use the R-Biopharm Ridascreen Gliadin test kit (AOAC-RI approved; Mendez extraction, R5 antibody), which is widely regarded as the best available formally validated ELISA for assessing final food product for gluten. This kit can quantifiably test to 5ppm in a range of matrices.
Enva can test your food product for the presence of both of the milk proteins, Casein and β-lactoglobulin, to levels of <2.5ppm and <5ppm respectively. Though no specific legislation exists to cover claims such as “Dairy Free” of “Milk Free”, our trained staff are on hand to outline the industry guidelines worldwide.
Proteins from the egg white such as ovomucoid, ovalbumin, ovotransferrin, lysozyme and livetin represent a significant health hazard to allergic individuals. As with milk, no specific legislation exists to cover the claim “Egg Free” but Enva’s trained and knowledgeable staff can advise you of the requirements you need to produce a safe and healthy final product for your customers.
