The Successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the treatment of chemical wastes in accordance with company operating procedures through direct involvement in operations and carrying out of lab analysis as and when required.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, responsibilities in this varied role will include;
Duties and Responsibilities of the Position: 

  • To process chemical wastes through the physio chemical and AOP treatment platforms effectively as possible in a safe and responsible manner
  • To understand and determine batch processing/recipe /compatibility and define charging of wastes for treatment batches on a daily basis. Take direction from site operations management team as is necessary
  • To liaise with operations management and lab management as and when required and to escalate issues or problems as they arise
  • Report all faults encountered with equipment directly to  site operation management team
  • To operate process equipment according to standard operating procedures
  • Carrying out of laboratory analysis and maintenance of associated paperwork.
  • To complete all necessary paperwork e.g. batch records relating to treatment processes and to maintain records for the EPA and waste management license as required
  • To adhere to all company health and safety rules and procedures and proactively partake in the ‘’everyday a safe day’’ culture within Enva,  paying particular attention to near miss reporting and participate actively in improving site HSE culture
  • Maintain raw material chemical stock consumable logs for AOP platform and to notify management as stocks approach low volume and request stock replenish orders
  • Ensure batch records, equipment calibrations and SOP for AOP processing are kept up to date,
  • Ensure AOP batch treatment meets required treatment criteria and gain approval from site operations team before releasing the treated AOP effluent
  • Compile AOP treatment reports regarding effectiveness of treatment and associated costs per m3 in relation to new streams for evaluation. Report evaluation findings to site operations management
Key Requirements & Qualifications Desired

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a similar or related role.
  • Third level qualification in Science related discipline desirable.
  • To deliver an excellent standard of customer service in all aspects of the role
  • To act courteously and communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, Enva personnel and other personnel encountered within your role
  • To foster and develop good customer and public relations at all times and to portray a professional image of the company
  • To report for work in a timely manner and to conduct work as scheduled to company and customer satisfaction
  • To work within the instructions and procedures of the Company’s systems as directed by your Manager or other management as appropriate
  • To conduct all duties in a constructive and productive manner aligned to the interests of the company and management
  • To act diligently and professionally in the interests of the Company
  • To demonstrate a willingness to promote the positive development of the business to all stakeholders of the business including customers but also extending to staff, contractors, EPA, HSA etc.
