Commercial Manager – Packaging, Liquid Treatment & WEEE
Reporting to: Director of Waste Services
Location: Primarily based in Enva Greenogue, with regular travel throughout Ireland (Shannon & Duleek) and possible travel to continental Europe.

Overview: 

The Commercial Manager manages commercial performance and development of Enva’s packaging, liquid treatment & WEEE Business units throughout the Republic of Ireland with responsibility for managing pricing and sales (direct with key customers and through the centralised sales team), operations planning and commercial development and management. 
Duties and Responsibilities of the Commercial Manager will include:

  • Supporting the Business Unit Managers from a commercial perspective across the business areas as required to maximise sales, throughput, margin and deliver the required customer management to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. 
  • Close liaison with the Director of Waste services and the Business Unit Managers, supporting the delivery of objectives, priorities and targets. 
  • Manage all dedicated Customer Service requirements for the business units and where achievable, support all operations by co-ordinating all pricing and account administration. This will require close liaison with the Sales Operations and Customer Service team. 
  • Take commercial management responsibility for the profitability/margin maximisation of the Packaging, Liquid Treatment and WEEE P&Ls and work with all areas to maximise the margin and meet or exceed the planned budget. 
  • Take overall responsibility for ensuring that on an ongoing basis the outlet costs and recovery targets for each waste stream are budgeted appropriately and that price changes are managed in order to minimise impact on the P&L. 
  • Manage and maximise pricing and ongoing profitability for all streams and activities, taking into account the Disposal/Treatment/Offtake Outlets available to Enva and the commercial agreements with these and ensure that the processes are in place and adhered to ensure that the appropriate processing option is utilized. 
  • Review the overall P&L for each Business unit to incorporate intake by waste type and associated processing costs so that 1:) the sales activity is linked to the cost of sale including operational costs and 2:) revenue can be reported by activity within each business unit. 
  • Co-ordinate weekly operations performance and monthly sales plans for the business units and support the management of the delivery of these targets on an ongoing basis including, where necessary managing key customer accounts. 
  • Deliver the weekly forecast on sales, tonnage and costs so that the monthly forecast can be revised appropriately. 
  • Work closely with the Sales Operations Manager and Customer Services Manager to ensure that ongoing sales activities are aligned across the business and that the requirements of and developments Business Units are understood and addressed in the requirement timeframe. 
  • Throughout the year develop sales campaigns to deliver new sales activities so that sales objectives as set out in the budget are achieved or exceeded and work with the Sales Operations Manager to agree and implement these campaigns. 
  • Support the development of Business Operations Procedures and ensure the use of these on an ongoing basis for the purpose of providing consistent delivery of services. 
  • Work closely with other divisions and Enva facilities to develop an integrated offering for customers and to integrate activities and explore new ways of delivering improved recovery solutions.
