Field Sales Representative

Main purpose of role:

To achieve new business sales within our Hazardous Waste Services Division and to manage and grow existing accounts. The role offers significant potential for growth and development for the right candidate. This role may suit a candidate who is interested in developing a career in sales with the market leader in environmental solutions; or an environmental graduate who wishes to blend their technical knowledge with a sales role.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Grow new business in line with set monthly and quarterly targets
  • Work independently, using your own initiative to get new customers on board
  • Achieve additional targets relevant to the role including, but not limited to, number of weekly calls, expected volumes of business from targeted areas, weekly scheduling and weekly/monthly reporting
  • Accurately and efficiently responding to client needs and enquiries from quote through to close of sale
  • Maintaining strong relationships with existing customer whilst seeking to increase turnover and satisfaction
  • Ensure all communication with customers is conducted in a clear, professional, and timely manner. This will require an in-depth knowledge our services, along with the legislative requirements of operating in the waste management/ environmental industry (i.e. waste categorization, packaging requirements, etc.)
  • Preparation and presentation of commercial tenders and quotations
  • Maintain and update CRM systems in terms of scheduled visits, time planning and visit reports
  • Capture additional customer information to allow for marketing and targeting of specific relevant customers
  • Taking part in regular sales team conference calls/meetings and actively contributing
  • Provide relevant information regarding competitors and market changes, while also assisting in the development of sales initiatives to ensure that we remain competitive

Requirements for Role:

  • Previous field sales experience would be a distinct advantage
  • Self-motivated, driven and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Committed to providing top quality customer service
  • Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
