Bothwell Scarecrow Festival

Over and above the sustainable management of the waste it produces, Enva recognises the important role it has to play in the local community. The company was pleased to be able to support the recent 'Musicfest' and Community Festival which formed part of the annual Bothwell Scarecrow Festival with the provision of on-site waste and recycling services to help make the event the greenest ever.

All the waste collected was taken back to Enva’s flagship facility at Linwood to be recycled. Any waste that could not be recycled was manufactured into a fuel and used to offset traditional fossil fuels in the generation of sustainable energy. The result was that zero waste from the event ended up in a landfill.

With over 450 scarecrows and 30 events the Bothwell Scarecrow Festival, which is now in its 9th year, has become a firm community favourite and we look forward to continuing our support for many years to come.
