Enva places equipment order for new London fridge recycling facility

Enva, one of the UK and Ireland’s leading recycling and resource recovery specialists, is delighted to announce that it has placed an order with the international technology group ANDRITZ to supply the equipment for the company’s new fridge recycling facility for customers in London and the South East.

Utilising tried and tested ANDRITZ technology already employed at the company’s facilities in Perth, Scotland, Toomebridge, Northern Ireland and Grantham, England, the equipment will include the latest degassing, shredding, and recycling technologies, ensuring that over 98% of the fridge components will be recovered for further processing.

Commenting on the announcement, Enva’s Managing Director, Barry Phillips, said: “We look forward to continuing what has been a highly successful partnership with ANDRITZ. This facility will provide much-needed additional recycling capacity in London and the South East. The state-of-the-art equipment specification will ensure that we create significant environmental and commercial value for our customers and support the development of a more resource-efficient and circular economy.”

Tom Cortaville as representative of ANDRITZ Recycling in the United Kingdom echoed Mr. Phillips’ comments, saying: “We are delighted to continue the growth of our partnership with Enva and to provide the latest generation of recycling technology for this exciting and much-needed installation. The equipment will now go into production for a planned delivery in June 2026 and installed in good time for the opening of the facility late next year.”

The facility, which is expected to be operational in late 2026, will have the capacity to process 35,000 tonnes per year, further strengthening Enva’s position as one of the UK and Ireland’s largest fridge and small domestic appliances (SDA) recyclers.
