Frank Key achieve a 96% Recycling rate partnering with Enva, enabling its customers to sustainably manage and recycle a range of waste types, whilst creating a supply of high-quality recycled materials and products.
In 2022, Frank Key contacted Enva to discuss the potential for outsourcing its skip hire and waste management services. The partnership has gone from strength to strength, with Enva now providing a highly cost-effective and sustainable solution for customers across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Yorkshire, and Lancashire. The strength of the relationship has enabled Frank Key to expand its skip hire service coverage and has built a solid foundation for both parties to explore additional commercial opportunities.
Enva’s experience and expertise have enabled Frank Key to focus on its core business, confident that its customers are receiving the highest levels of service and support.
Enva’s service provision encompasses all 17 Frank Key branches, providing a seamless extension of its other services. Orders are managed through Frank Key’s website and fulfilled by Enva, meaning its customers benefit from a modern and efficient fleet and state-of-the-art recycling infrastructure. The consolidation of these services with a single supplier also helps Frank Key uphold its core values of excellent customer service, on-time delivery, and accurate invoicing.
Enva’s skip and RoRo (roll-on roll-off) services allow Frank Key’s customers to sustainably manage and recycle a range of waste types, including mixed domestic, commercial, and construction waste. Materials such as special or hazardous waste can also be collected and managed by Enva as required. Information such as ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ provides skip customers with the necessary details to ensure materials are handled in a fully compliant and safe manner.
Recently, the service offering has been extended to include aggregate delivery, meaning Frank Key’s customers now have access to Enva’s portfolio of recycled aggregate materials. In addition to the significant carbon savings associated with recycled aggregates, delivering full skips reduces vehicle movements, further cutting carbon emissions and reducing costs.
The implementation of additional recycling services at Frank Key’s head office has also helped improve the segregation of materials and their own recycling rates.
In 2023, Enva recycled over 96% of the waste it managed on behalf of Frank Key’s customers, with over 5,000 tonnes of waste sustainably processed. In doing so, it helped cut emissions associated with disposal via landfill and created a supply of high-quality recycled materials and products, which reduces pressure on our finite natural resources.
Enva’s dedicated customer service and account management teams provide Frank Key with valuable service and management information. Quarterly reports and account management reviews help ensure continued improvement, while real-time data is also available 24/7 via the MyEnva portal.
The partnership approach extends to supporting customer launch events, charity race nights, and, recently, saw Frank Key announced as the winner of the Love Recycling Team of the Year award.
Commenting on the partnership, Frank Key’s Operations Director, Richard Meeks, said: “Frank Key is continuously exploring cost-effective ways to add value to the products and services we offer to our customers, especially in the current climate. It is great to have formalised a long-established relationship with Enva to provide skip hire and waste management services on our behalf. We look forward to all our customers benefiting from this partnership.”
Enva’s Head of Regional Sales, Kirsty Woodward, also commented, saying: “The success of our partnership with Frank Key is based on shared values and a commitment to delivering a high-quality and cost-effective service for all customers. We look forward to further strengthening our partnership and to leverage the opportunities presented by a closely aligned range of services and sustainable products.”
