PAS402 certification achieved

PAS402 certification achieved

Enva has successfully achieved PAS402 certification and in the process ratified our 98.26% diversion rate for our Nottingham Material Recycling Facility (MRF).

Customers increasingly require robust data to improve confidence in the reporting of waste materials recovery. PAS402 is recognised by both waste management organisations and waste producers, helping to build a strong supply chain network. It provides a framework for measuring actual performance against targets – including materials recovery and landfill diversion and a real-life scorecard to encourage continuous improvements.

PAS402 was written specifically for performance reporting for the waste management industry and sets out the guidelines and a framework of good practice for industry to follow. Green Compass provides a standardised, UKAS accredited, route to achieving the BSI PAS402:2013 accreditation.

Paul Jennings, Director at Green Compass said, “We are extremely pleased that Enva have now successfully gained PAS 402 accredited certification for their Nottingham recycling facility. The Green Compass Scheme has been grateful for Enva’s support as an Affiliated Company for a number of years and we were delighted when they made the decision to put the Nottingham facility through the certification process. This clearly underlines their commitment to PAS 402 and is a great demonstration of leading by example. We congratulate Enva and wish them every success for the future.

Following successful certification in Nottingham, we are working towards certification for our Leicester facility in 2023.

Congratulations to the team at Nottingham, and well done to Andrea Dobson, Technical Manager and Eddie Yang, Environmental and Quality Advisor who managed the process.
