Sustainability Report 2022

Our 2022 Sustainability Report demonstrates how we have saved eleven times more carbon from sustainably managing customers’ waste than we have produced from our own operations. This figure has increased from ten times in 2021.

Highlights from the report, which details the company’s investment in resource recovery solutions and the work it undertakes across a wide range of sectors, include:

  • 336,000 tonnes of CO2 avoided through the sustainable recovery of customers’ waste and implementation of circular economy principles
  • 5 LCAs completed, with the ambition to complete comprehensive and objective LCAs for all our recovered materials over the coming year
  • The commencement of the construction of a new and innovative recovery process that will produce agricultural fertiliser pellets containing Ammonium Sulphate (AMS) from an industrial liquid waste stream
  • The formation of the Enva Foundation, an initiative that will remediate and restore post-industrial and polluted sites that have been damaged by human activity

In this, our 2022 Sustainability Report, we showcase how this carbon saving is realising and reaffirming our commitment to support the environmental performance of our customers and continually improve our own operations. In meeting our targets, we will remain at the forefront of the circular economy and the battles against climate change, biodiversity loss and unsustainable extraction of virgin resource.”
