Ambergate Sports College – Furniture Donation

Over and above our environmental responsibilities, Enva aims to make a positive impact within the communities in which we operate. We were pleased to have the opportunity to put this into practice recently, supporting Ambergate Sports College, Grantham.

Enva secured a range of office furniture via one of our customers ‘Office Essentials’ via an EON site, which were made available for reuse and donated to Ambergate Sports College.

Ambergate Sports College caters for pupils between the ages of 3 and 19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties and complex needs. Pupil needs are wide ranging; many are on the autistic spectrum, with others having ADHD and varying degrees of developmental delay, and some with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.

The school were delighted to receive the furniture, as Julie Saddler-Foreman, Head of School, explains, “Enva is helping to support the school in the most amazing way. The items we received included lockers, which will help to support our pupil’s independence, white boards that can be used in multiple areas within the school, such as the gym, and office chairs for staff.

“The opportunity to reuse these items reinforces our environmental and sustainability values as an Eco-School and we are happy to receive any further donations via Enva in the future.”

Mark Knight, Enva’s Area Sales Manager, who was pivotal to the project, said, “At Enva we believe the best way to manage waste is to stop it being created in the first place. Reusing perfectly good items, such as furniture, is a perfect example of the circular economy in practice.

“We are delighted that Ambergate Sports College could benefit from this furniture and would like to thank both Office Essentials and EON for enabling this to happen. We are keen to work with other charities and businesses to facilitate more of these sustainable initiatives and increase and promote reuse.”
