Enva partners with Conrad Energy to cover expanding site networks

Conrad Energy, the UK’s largest flexible power producer, has appointed Enva as its exclusive waste and resource recovery provider across the company’s rapidly expanding network of sites. Recognised for its commercial, operational and environmental planning expertise, the contract award sees Enva extend its coverage in the UK energy sector.

Enva will provide both hazardous and non-hazardous waste management services to Conrad Energy’s 50+ sites across the UK. These will include the collection and treatment of bulk used oil and drummed hazardous waste on a single vehicle solution, which not only reduces disruption to the operations but also reduces fuel consumption and associated emissions.

Working towards maximum resource recovery and zero landfill, a greater percentage of waste oil collected from Conrad Energy’s sites will now be redirected for re-refining and will be used in the manufacture of a recovered base oil product.

As one of the UK’s largest providers of flexible generation, battery storage and energy management services, Conrad Energy delivers power to the National Grid and commercial customers. The company has placed facilitating the transition to a low carbon economy at the centre of its’ business strategy and is playing a key role in the UK’s journey to net zero.

Commenting on the award, Enva’s National Sales Director, Trevor Lawlor, said: “We look forward to supporting Conrad Energy in their continued expansion.  Our ability to manage multiple waste streams as part of a single collection enables our customers to realise the commercial and environmental benefits of recycling their waste while also improving the efficiency of their waste collection services.”

Duane Longthorn, Head of Procurement of Conrad Energy, added: “Enva’s experience in delivering comprehensive solutions across multiple sites, together with their ability to service a number of remote locations, made them the perfect partner for both our current operational sites and support the ambitious growth strategy.  Both companies share a commitment to supporting the transition to clean energy and low carbon energy solutions which are also highly cost-effective for consumers.”
