‘Let’s Get Real About Recycling’ Recycle Week 2022

‘Let’s Get Real About Recycling’ Recycle Week 2022

Enva is proud to be supporting Recycle Week 2022, taking place this week 17 – 23rd October, the annual UK wide campaign to raise awareness of the importance of recycling.

Since 2004, Recycle Week has been the one week where retailers, brands, waste management companies, trade associations, governments and the media come together to achieve one goal: to galvanise the public into recycling more of the right things, more often.

The 2022 campaign builds on the momentum from earlier Recycle Week campaigns with this year’s theme: Let's Get Real About Recycling. The campaign will focus on three common questions that many of us have when it comes to recycling: -

  • Does my recycling really make a difference?
  • One item in the bin can’t hurt, can it?
  • Recycling is so confusing, Isn’t it?

Recycling really can make a difference; recycling currently saves 18 million tonnes of CO2 every year - the same environmental impact as taking 12 million cars off the road. We can all help fight climate change by recycling, you can do your bit by recycling as much as you can.

By getting our recycling right we can also have an impact. One wrong item in the recycling bin from each of us can make whole lorry loads unrecyclable.

If you’re at all unsure about how to recycle a specific item, the Recycle Now’s Recycling Locator can show you exactly what needs to go in the recycling bin where you live. Link here: https://www.recyclenow.com/about-us/recycling-locator-tool

Enva will be supporting Recycle Week 2022 by sharing recycling information and campaign assets with our customers and employees on our social media channels, and we’ll also be launching our first Employee Sustainability Survey this week to coincide with Recycle Week.

Recycle Week 2022 - Let’s get real about recycling: We’re a nation of real recyclers. Real people, with real lives that sometimes get in the way. We’ve come a long way, but there’s still room to grow. If everyone plays their part, progress will keep happening all round.  It won’t take much to make a real difference. Take action this Recycle Week.
