Partners required for plasterboard recycling trial

Leading recycling and resource management company, Enva, is looking for partners to supply post-consumer waste plasterboard for a recycling trial it is undertaking with British Gypsum and Loughborough University.

This EU supported project, ICEBERG, will see Enva take plasterboard from refurbishment projects, wash and treat the material to purify it, then with the assistance of British Gypsum and Loughborough University create new plasterboard. The new board containing the purified gypsum from the trial will then be installed into a building at Loughborough University for assessment and performance testing.

Given the scale of the trial Enva is looking for partners undertaking major refurbishment work in the Midlands to supply waste plasterboard for the project.  Companies supplying material will benefit from a free of charge disposal rate and the opportunity to further bolster their environmental credentials.

Companies interested in partaking in the trial should contact Kirsty Woodward at kirsty.woodward@enva.com
