Enva increases its disinfectant manufacturing capability

Leading environmental and industrial services provider, Enva, has increased manufacturing capability for its ECOSAN disinfectant and sanitiser product to play its’ part in combatting the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.

Diversion of resources from other parts of the Enva group, together with modifications to the company’s ECOSAN production line will enable the company to increase production capacity by 300%.

ECOSAN, contains Vantocil - a fast-acting bactericide and virucide and is a 20% aqueous solution of poly (hexamethylene biguanide) hydrochloride, also known as PHMB.

Formulated for its broad spectrum of antibacterial and virucidal properties, ECOSAN provides a safe and effective replacement for conventional cleaners, bleaches and disinfectants. Being water based, ECOSAN is safe and easy to use, with no unwanted side effects such as taint, smell or handling hazards.

In addition to providing ECOSAN directly in 25 litre drums and IBC’s, Enva also supports commercial, industrial and local authority customers with a range of on-site disinfection services.

Enva’s industrial disinfection service utilises mobile mist spraying equipment used by trained operatives and using the ECOSAN disinfectant/sanitiser product. This can be deployed across a range of settings including – offices, factories, shops & retail outlets, call centres, schools, public buildings, vehicles & vehicle cabs and hard to reach areas.

Enva also has the capability to provide local authorities with a fully managed street disinfection service. This service mobilises tankers with misting sprays. These are operated by fully trained Enva employees all with the necessary PPE and working to a pre agreed route.

Disinfecting streets and other public areas kills the Covid-19 virus when present on surfaces. This reduces the opportunity for infection and breaks the infection chain.

Large scale disinfection also reassures residents and business owners that every effort is being taken to protect themselves and their communities. Disinfection of public areas such as high streets, retail areas, parks and other communal areas gives people the confidence they need to start using them again and help society to take the first steps towards a degree of normality.
