Sustainable partnership for state-of-the-art Guy Salmon JLR dealership
Leading recycling and resource recovery experts, Enva, have been appointed as the integrated waste management partner for Guy Salmon’s new state-of-the art Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) dealership in South West London, part of the Sytner Group.
One of only eight ‘Global Statement’ sites worldwide, this new five-storey 17,000sq metre dealership is the only one of its kind in the UK and one of only two in the whole of Europe.
Designed to be one of the UK’s most innovative customer retail experiences, the site is home to Jaguar, Land Rover, Special Vehicle Operations and a bespoke commissioning suite with the ability to display 130 new and used vehicles. Created with the customer in mind, it boasts a 3-lane under cover ‘Drive-In’ service reception facility and a large and stylish customer café and lounge. A world class workshop and bodyshop are also hosted on site with 27 technical bays, two dedicated MOT test lanes and a cosmetic repair area on the second floor.
The centrepiece of the dealership’s design is a 60 sq. metre wall outlining Jaguar Land Rover’s ‘Destination Zero’ strategy for a cleaner, safer and sustainable future. Sustainability is at the heart of the new site which has wastewater recycling and extensive electric vehicle (EV) charging points. The new recycling and waste management strategy developed with Enva will play an integral role in further improving the company’s environmental performance and resource efficiency.
Commenting on the partnership with Guy Salmon South West London, Enva’s National Sales Director, Trevor Lawlor, said: “We have worked closely with Sytner to design and implement a waste and recycling solution that befits this outstanding location. Despite the constraints on space, every opportunity has been taken to recover valuable secondary resources and reduce waste. The result is a highly sustainable and cost-effective solution. We look forward to continuing to innovate and improve as we develop what is already a very positive relationship.”
Services provided by Enva will include management of hazardous workshop waste, general and recyclable waste, scrap metal recovery, Interceptor cleansing, bodyshop spray gun cleaning and associated waste management services.
