Enva Achieves PAS 402:2025 Certification, Strengthening Data Transparency and Sustainability Performance
19/06/26
Enva has successfully achieved certification to the updated PAS 402:2025 standard, transitioning from the previous PAS 402:2015 framework.
This milestone reflects the continued focus, rigour and commitment across our teams to accurately measure and report waste recovery performance.
As customer expectations continue to evolve, the demand for robust and transparent environmental data has never been greater. PAS 402 provides a trusted framework for demonstrating accountability across material recovery, landfill diversion and continuous improvement.
Strong performance has already been demonstrated across key sites, with Nottingham Colwick achieving 96.29% diversion from landfill and Leicester (Wesley Street) reaching 93.76%.
In addition, Enva is proud to be the first in the sector to deliver PAS 402-specific awareness training to its teams. Colleagues from Commercial, Operational, Service Delivery and Compliance functions came together to deepen their understanding of the standard, reinforcing best practice and supporting continuous improvement across operations and customer delivery.
Kirsty Woodward, Head of Construction, Enva Recycling England, said, “The PAS 402 training delivered real value for our Commercial and Operational teams, strengthening our capability to manage and reconcile waste data in line with the independent verification required for Green Compass Scheme accreditation.
As a result, we are better positioned to deliver transparent, reliable performance for our customers, and in partnership with Green Compass and PAS 402, we are helping to set the standard for excellence in sustainability and resource recovery.”
Paul Jennings, Chairman, The Green Compass Scheme Limited, said, "Any new initiative comes with a certain amount of nervousness, hoping that the new venture is fit for purpose and the demand for it is out there. We are doubly delighted, therefore that Enva elected to be the pioneers for our new Training Course for PAS 402 and that they found it hugely valuable.
We are encouraged by the enthusiasm that Enva's staff have expressed for their training session, and we will now be confident to promote and deliver the course to the wider industry. We are committed to helping the waste resource management sector in its aims to achieve excellence and we are confident that our new training will be a real stepping stone for companies who share these aims.”
Achieving certification to the updated PAS 402:2025 standard reinforces Enva’s commitment to operational excellence and supporting customers in achieving their sustainability goals. If you’re looking to improve transparency in your waste data and accelerate progress towards your sustainability targets, our team is here to help.
