When preparing a load of waste for transportation it is vital that the correct labels are placed on each receptacle of waste allowing the DVSA, EA, SEPA or the Police, if stopped during a routine compliance check, check the Hazard types being transported match up with the load paperwork.
When transporting receptacles which have an opportunity to move during transport ensure shrink wrap is applied to secure them. In some instances, the wrap can cover the labels and in this case a label must be placed on the outside of the wrap in such a way that it can be seen when the curtains of the vehicles are opened.
