Enva is pleased to recognise a significant sustainability milestone achieved by our customer and partner, Grifols Worldwide Operations (GWWO). The Grange Castle site in Dublin has been certified for achieving Zero Waste to Landfill, reflecting a clear commitment to responsible resource management and continuous improvement.
For more than five years, Enva has supported waste and resource management at the Grange Castle site in collaboration with the on-site teams and delivery partners. Enva provides specialist expertise in hazardous waste management, while domestic bulk waste services are managed through Panda. Together, the teams have analysed waste streams, strengthened segregation and compliance, and maximised diversion through recycling, reuse and recovery to support a sustained zero-waste-to-landfill outcome.
This certification recognises the substantial work completed across the site and sets a strong benchmark for sustainable operations within the pharmaceutical sector.
Graham Kennedy, Enva’s Key Account Manager for Grifols Ireland, commented on the achievement,
“Achieving a Zero Waste to Landfill certification at this level takes sustained focus and collaboration. Over the past 12 months, Grifols dedicated significant effort to reach this prestigious standard, achieving a 100% score on the first attempt - an excellent reflection of the site’s commitment to maintaining a zero-waste-to-landfill environment.”
Eddie Moloney, Panda’s Corporate Account Manager, added,
“We're incredibly proud to have assisted GWWO in achieving their Zero Waste to Landfill certification. This reflects the dedication of all teams involved in driving responsible waste management and having a real impact."
GWWO Site Facilities Manager, Robert Kenny, said,
“We’re proud to announce that our site has officially received certification for achieving Zero Waste to Landfill. This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability, responsible resource management, and reducing our environmental impact. By diverting waste away from landfill through recycling, reuse, and recovery initiatives, we are taking meaningful steps towards a more sustainable future. This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and collaboration of our key service partners Enva and Panda. We will continue to build on this progress and look for new ways to improve our environmental performance in the future at GWWO.”
Working alongside Grifols and our service partners, Enva will continue to support the Grange Castle site in sustaining this standard and driving further improvements in resource efficiency and environmental performance.
