Which Skip Size is Right for Me?
Choosing the correct size is essential for an efficient and cost-effective clearance. We currently offer three main sizes for skip hire in Nottingham. If you are unsure which option suits your project, give our friendly team a ring and we will be happy to advise.

- Capacity: Roughly 30 to 40 wheelie bin bags.
- Approximate Dimensions: Height 0.96m x Length 1.80m x Width 1.22m.
- Best for: Almost any standard household or garden waste removal project.
- Capacity: Roughly 40 to 60 wheelie bin bags.
- Approximate Dimensions: Height 1.22m x Length 2.60m x Width 1.52m.
- Best for: Larger volumes of heavy, inert waste like sand, drywall, rubble, and concrete. Widely used by the construction industry and for full house clearances.
- Capacity: Roughly 60 to 80 wheelie bin bags.
- Approximate Dimensions: Height 1.22m x Length 3.20m x Width 1.75m.
What Can (and can't) go in your skip
We aim to recycle as much of your waste as possible at our local facilities. To comply with government legislation and environmental permits, please review our guidelines below.
As a responsible waste processor, we can handle most general domestic and DIY materials, including:

✅ Paper, Cardboard, Magazines & Books
✅ Concrete, Hardcore & Plasterboard
✅ Clothing & Toys (without batteries)
✅ General Furniture (Note: Waste Upholstered Domestic Seating requires advance notification due to POPs regulations and cannot be mixed with other waste).
✅ Soil (Please inform us beforehand if you are disposing of soil as it may affect pricing and skip size limits).
Due to strict operating permits, we cannot accept the following items in our standard skips:
❌ Asbestos: In any forms or quantity, this includes non-hazardous asbestos looking materials.
❌ Hazardous or Toxic Waste: All waste labelled as hazardous including resin tins, industrial detergents, paints with residue, oil waste containers or bags. This includes chemicals, pesticides, and aerosols displaying any hazardous signs (either full or containing residue).
❌ Contaminated Materials & Soil: Soil or any materials contaminated with oil, diesel, petrol, or asbestos.
❌ Sludges, Liquids, & Oils: We are unable to take any liquid waste, sludges, waste oils, or oil filters.
❌ Clinical Waste & Sharps: Nappies, soiled bandages and dressings, as well as either loose or boxed needles, syringes, and sharps.
❌ Dust: Fine dust particles which are not bagged or have not been dampened.
❌ Other Restricted Items: Mattresses, tyres, fridges, TVs, and artificial grass.
If you need to dispose of a prohibited hazardous item, contact our customer service team to discuss arranging a separate, specialist collection.

Important Delivery & Collection Notes
To ensure a smooth and safe service, please bear in mind the following prior to delivery:
Please consider the surfacing of your driveway and its ability to handle the heavy weight of a delivery vehicle and a filled skip.
All obstructions must be cleared so the skip can be offloaded and collected safely. Skips cannot be placed over manhole covers or water hydrant covers.
For health and safety compliance, skips must not be overloaded. Overfilled skips cannot be legally transported and will not be collected.
Our standard pricing is based on an automatic uplift 7 days from the time of delivery. However, skips can be collected earlier upon request, or kept longer by informing our team when booking.
