Conrad Energy, the UK’s largest flexible power producer, has appointed Enva as its exclusive waste and resource recovery provider across the company’s rapidly expanding network of sites. Recognised for its commercial, operational and environmental planning expertise, the contract award sees Enva extend its coverage in the UK energy sector.
Enva will provide both hazardous and non-hazardous waste management services to Conrad Energy’s 50+ sites across the UK. These will include the collection and treatment of bulk used oil and drummed hazardous waste on a single vehicle solution, which not only reduces disruption to the operations but also reduces fuel consumption and associated emissions.
Working towards maximum resource recovery and zero landfill, a greater percentage of waste oil collected from Conrad Energy’s sites will now be redirected for re-refining and will be used in the manufacture of a recovered base oil product.
As one of the UK’s largest providers of flexible generation, battery storage and energy management services, Conrad Energy delivers power to the National Grid and commercial customers. The company has placed facilitating the transition to a low carbon economy at the centre of its’ business strategy and is playing a key role in the UK’s journey to net zero.
