Organisation Update - Roger McDermott Appointed Permanent CEO

We are delighted to announce that Roger McDermott has been appointed as Enva’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately.
Roger has been an integral part of Enva since June 2019, leading various segments of our business, including the Irish and Specialist Businesses. Over the past four months, he has been serving as Interim CEO.
With over 20 years of experience in the utilities and environmental services industries, Roger brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to this role. Before joining Enva, he managed a major programme of energy infrastructure developments at ESB in the Generation and Trading division. He also played a key role in establishing and managing several energy services, energy efficiency, and smart energy business areas in ESB’s retail business.
Roger takes on this role at an exciting time for Enva, with a significant programme of resource recovery and environmental services investments underway.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from University College Dublin, an MBA from Dublin City University, and has completed the Institute of Directors Chartered Director Programme and Advanced Management Practice Programme at Henley Business School.
Based in County Kildare, Ireland, Roger lives with his wife and three sons. Outside of work, he is a keen runner and an avid sports fan.
