Enva Acquires Irish Waste and MacNabb Waste, Growing Sustainable Resource Recovery in Northern Ireland

Enva, one of the UK and Ireland’s leading waste management and resource recovery businesses, has acquired Irish Waste and MacNabb Waste, which operate as one of Northern Ireland’s leading specialist waste management businesses.

Established over 55 years ago and operating across three sites in Northern Ireland, Irish Waste and MacNabb Waste provide industrial and commercial waste services, including collection, treatment, recycling and recovery of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams. 

This strategic acquisition brings together highly complementary organisations with shared values, aligned expertise, and a strong commitment to sustainability, compliance, and service excellence. Together, the companies will provide an enhanced set of capabilities and a broader portfolio of specialist waste management services and resource recovery solutions for customers across Northern Ireland.

The Irish Waste and MacNabb Waste management teams, including Managing Director Jason McPolin, will remain in the business and continue to advance the company's ongoing growth and development, with the full support of the Enva group. The combined teams will facilitate a smooth transition to Enva ownership whilst maintaining the highest service delivery without interruption.

Their recycling facility in Downpatrick processes commercial, industrial, and construction waste, extending Irish Waste’s geographical reach.  
  • Enva will acquire 100% of the issued shares in Irish Waste and MacNabb Waste.
