Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF)

We produce and supply two types of fuels for cement kilns in the form of Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) and Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF). Both are produced via the waste cycle  and are perfect examples of resource recovery in action. Producing lower carbon emissions than landfill, and with the markets growing significantly in recent years, Enva is leading the way in developing technology to further improve the quality of these products for use in their end markets.

Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) is a lower specification product than SRF with a lower calorific value. It's produced by shredding and dehydrating solid waste so is still a sustainable way of recovering materials which may have otherwise gone to landfill, generating a useful energy source.
