Construction & Demolition waste

Enva are a proven and leading supplier of waste solutions to the construction, infrastructure and utility industries. By placing the waste hierarchy at the centre of our approach we partner with contractors to reduce waste production and deliver improved resource efficiency.

To manage demand at each construction project phase, we provide the full range of containers from skips to front end loaders and roll-on roll-off containers. We offer Ad hoc or scheduled collections using our dedicated fleet of vehicles.

All waste collected is taken to one of Enva’s specialist facilities ensuring that as much as possible is recycled or recovered. Waste that cannot be recovered is often used to create a fuel for the production of sustainable energy.

This includes the compliant treatment and recovery of contaminated soil to land remediation, and the collection and reprocessing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Recycled aggregates, soils and timber materials are available for the construction & demolition sector, for site restoration and road building, reflective of a circular economy solution.

Our plasterboard recycling facility is one of the largest of its kind in the UK and uses efficient and innovative technology to ensure that waste plasterboard collected is put back into the manufacturing process.

Recycling scrap metal is sustainable, diverting valuable material from landfill. Both ferrous and non-ferrous metals are recyclable. Ferrous Metals are usually magnetic, and will typically contain iron, alongside properties of other metals. They are also very susceptible to corrosion, so it is important they are disposed of responsibly. Non-ferrous metals do not typically contain iron and are non-magnetic. They have a high resistance to corrosion and are considerably tougher than ferrous metals.

The use of plasterboard is rising year-on-year, mainly due to its use in new housing developments. Since 2009 it has been against the law to send plasterboard waste to landfill. Constructing plasterboard is fossil fuel intensive, so recycling it is becoming increasing essential.

Enva's award-winning plasterboard recycling facility, is one of the largest of its kind in the UK. Our facility uses efficient and innovative technologies to ensure that 100% of the waste plasterboard is put back into the manufacturing process. We collect, store and recycle plasterboard from commercial and domestic sources across the country. All of the materials that derive from breaking down plasterboard can be recovered and reused.
