Hazardous Waste Collection & Disposal

What is hazardous waste?

Hazardous waste is any waste classified as such by the European Waste Catalogue. Typically, this consists of any waste that has the potential to cause corrosion, corruption or damage to valuable environmental spaces. Under the Hazardous Waste (England) Regulations 2005, organisations must ensure their hazardous waste is separated from general waste and treated of appropriately. These measures are in place so that hazardous waste causes no harm or damage to the public or the environment.

Any business producing hazardous waste has a responsibility to ensure it is disposed of safely and, in most circumstances, they must register with the Environment Agency as a hazardous waste producer. Enva aims to help businesses to dispose of their hazardous waste efficiently, and in a safe, secure fashion.
