Why Waste Oil Collection Certification Is Important
All organisations must ensure their waste oil is collected and removed by a licensed contractor. Organisations that require waste oil to be collected are themselves responsible for ensuring the contractor has the relevant licences and certifications. If an organisation contracts someone who doesn’t have the appropriate permits, they are liable to prosecution.
Enva has all the waste oil handling certification needed to lawfully collect and recover your waste oils. Upon collection, Enva will be able to provide you with paperwork outlining the nature of the waste that has been removed, and the volume/quantity. You must keep your records for a minimum of 2 years.
Never burn waste oil. It is illegal to burn waste oils without a licence from the EPA. Burning waste can produce dangerous fumes that have serious health effects for you and your employees.

Waste Oil Recovery
Waste oil is collected, taken to our in-house laboratories and analysed before being treated in the appropriate manner. All the waste oil Enva collects is put through a rigorous process to recovery a number of products.
Examples of Recovered Waste Oils include:
- Processed Fuel Oil (PFO) – A virgin fuel replacement used in large industrial applications such as Power Stations
- Used Lubricating Oil (ULO) – Used in the production of recycled base lubricating oil
- Reprocessed Fuel Oils (11LS) – For use in the asphalt industry and in steam raising boilers
