As a Business Development Manager within Enva’s Waste Division you will be responsible for identifying and creating new business development opportunities relating to the management and recovery of hazardous wastes in Ireland and contributing to our long-term business growth. You will also maximise cross-selling opportunities with our Industrial and Water Service Divisions. 

The ideal candidate will have a subject matter expert on hazardous waste management solutions and will proactively generate proposals and solutions for new and existing clients. He/she will build on their market knowledge and existing network to drive sustainable, complaint and cost-effective waste management solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing the sales pipeline by identifying and creating new opportunities with prospects and existing clients
  • Identifying new potential markets or waste streams for Enva Ireland 
  • Delivering and exceeding sales targets through the successful closure of leads and opportunities within the pipeline
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers and key accounts
  • Resolving problems and handling complaints in an efficient and professional manner
  • Actively documenting & maintaining accurate client records, sales activities and site visits using a CRM system. 
  • Completing reviews on sales performance analytics including leads, quotes, opportunities and forecast sales though the CRM
  • Keeping up to date with market changes and competitor activity while delivering sales initiative and campaigns to ensure we remain competitive
  • Building effective relationships across the organisation
  • Helping to build the Enva brand as an innovator and market leader

Experience and Key Competencies required for the role

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or similar role with experience in the waste/recycling industry and a knowledge of hazardous waste in particular
  • Highly motivated and target driven 
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • IT Proficient, including experience with CRM software and MS products (SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
  • Effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills whilst also being commercially astute
  • Flexible & adaptable attitude
  • Team player with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Full, Clean Driving License
