Business Development Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a driven, results focused business development manager with previous experience in a recycling/ waste industry .

Role 

To deliver business growth focusing on new and existing business within a variety of sectors across the East Midlands, creating long-term value for the Recycling England business. Focus being around the leading contractors within the construction, house build, commercial and Industrial sectors. Key focus on the timber and 3rd party sector.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Achieve and exceed operations sales targets.
  • Create, develop and manage sales pipeline in order to identify current and future opportunities.
  • Create and develop strong working relationships with potential clients
  • Work with the key individuals within the national team to deliver budgets for the team
  • Submit all reports in a timely manner as directed by the Head of Operations
  • Attending sales/operations meetings where applicable
  • Fully understand the potential customer base
  • Manage the area with regard to travel planning and meetings, being mindful of effective time management
  • Monitor competitor activity and market conditions reporting key activity, developments and issues as necessary
  • Develop relationship with established customer base
  • Develop strong internal business relationships in particular with the National operational team, peers and support functions within the business, maintaining effective communication channels and working together to maximise sales opportunities and resolve issues
  • Develop and articulate an effective sales proposition. Conduct professional customer appointments, achieving a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and maximising sales opportunities
  • Respond to sales and operational challenges by phone, electronically and in person
  • Achievement of operational & sales KPIs

Enva England is the East Midlands leading Recycling and Resource Management company collecting and processing in excess of 500,000 tonnes waste per year, providing a comprehensive waste collection and recycling service to Industrial, Commercial, Construction and local Authority customers. We are proud to say that in excess of 95% of the waste is recycled.

We operate out of a 20 Acre site with in excess of 300 employees across our Nottingham and Leicester sites.
