Chemical Plant Operative 

Enva Scotland are looking for a Chemical Plant Operative to join our busy recycling yard based in Paisley, Renfrewshire.

The successful candidate will carry out duties such as operating chemical processing plant, sorting of different waste types, material movements, sampling, stock checks and general housekeeping. This is not an exhaustive list and the successful candidate may be asked to carry out other tasks as required whilst always adhering to site health and safety rules and maintaining site standards. The working hours will be Monday to Friday, rotating between 7am to 4pm & 9am to 6pm. There will also be opportunities to work overtime if required.

Salary and Benefits:

• Earn £11.55 per hour.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Chemical waste industry experience desired.
• Physically fit and able due to the physical nature of the job.
• Enthusiastic and highly motivated with good time keeping.
• FLT License is essential.
• Unloading/Loading of vehicles
• Ensure that the start and shut down procedures of all machinery is followed as instructed.
• Complete start up and shutdown procedure maintaining levels of good housekeeping within work area.
• Previous knowledge of the waste industry or handling hazardous chemicals is desirable but not essential.
• General Site maintenance.
• Complete all administrative paperwork required.
• Complete allotted instructions
• Ability to use own initiative.
• Ability to learn new systems and new machinery operations.
