Export Site Lead

Reporting to: Exports and Brokerage Manager

Main purpose of role:

The Exports Site Lead will work closely with the Exports Manager in managing liaison with customers and outlets to ensure that customers receive the highest levels of service whilst optimizing the outlet destinations for waste from a commercial, operational efficiency and sustainability perspectives.  

Working proactively to manage Key Accounts will form an essential part of the role where identification of new opportunities and optimisation of financial performance will be essential (whether this be in identifying new outlets or availing of internal Enva treatment solutions for customer waste).  

Duties and Responsibilities of Exports Site Lead will include: 

  • Liaison with in-bound logistics function and the activities of the Logistics Administrators across the business to ensure customer needs are being adequately serviced in a compliant efficient manner and assisting if required, with  including the following: 
  • Planning of collections and deliveries in the most efficient and cost-effective manner;.  
  • classification of wastes, designation of appropriate packaging, assignment of EWC codes and preparation of all transport documentation and labels.  
  • Maintenance of a high level of communication with internal stakeholders; 
  • To act as the Exports & Brokerage liaison for the Group TFS Manager for TFS applications and renewals related to Brokerage Division ensuring that appropriate TFSs/LoWs are always in place to ensure business continuity. 
  • Responsibility to ensure outbound paperwork, DGN’s etc. are prepared accurately and on time.
  • Responsibility to ensure TFS renewals, TFS refunds for their area are accurately maintained.
  • Responsibility to work within the Exports groups in scheduling dates with outlets. 
  • Maintain and build relationships with all customers including waste customers across the business ensuring they enjoy first class service while ensuring margins are optimized. 
  • Ensure high standards of safety and regulatory compliance are always maintained, and report on HSE KPI’s relating to your area as required. 
  • Champion the employment of the Waste Tracking Software, Waste Profiling App’, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and other software platforms. 
  • Maintain excellent relationships with outlets, hauliers and regulatory authorities ensuring that Enva has access to the most reliable and cost-effective service providers and always ensure open and transparent communication channels are maintained with your line manager in reporting any regulatory or compliance issues in a timely manner.  
  • Assistance with weekly sales forecasting and reporting. 
  • Where large contracts or tender submissions are concerned, work as part as part of the team to select the most cost and environmentally beneficial treatment outlet (Whether this be an internal Enva Treatment solution or via a third-party treatment outlet) and assist in the pricing process. 
  • Assist or lead in the identification of opportunities where new outlets/technologies can be employed. 
  • Coordination of in-bound waste loads with Waste Transfer Station Manager (WTS) and Outlets are vital to ensure compliance with EPA Licensing, TFSs and Waste Facility’s acceptance criteria. 
  • Maintenance of contacts with disposal outlets and maintain data for all outlets including the costs and acceptance criteria by waste type for each outlet and add to and maintain this on an ongoing basis. 
  • Together with the TFS (Trans Frontier Shipping) manager, maintenance of contacts with the various competent authorities through-out Europe. Undertaking of familiarisation visits to disposal facilities, to include auditing of those facilities, from time to time. 
  • Provision of weekly/monthly reports clearly outlining customer and export activity, issues arising, key operational statistics all relevant to the RoI waste business.
