Health & Safety Administrator

Overview of Role

Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will be integral in driving the Health & Safety culture within the business and ensuring it is compliant with Health & Safety regulations. You will be responsible for supporting the business in all aspects with regards to Health Safety & Environmental matters. To establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health and Safety within Enva are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring your own health and safety and that of others and promoting a positive health and safety culture within the workplace.
  • Ensure all Health and safety obligations are met, and company policies are adhered to.
  • Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents, and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
  • Conducting and recording site inspections.
  • Supporting incident investigations and leading investigations when potential or actual severity dictates.  
  • Liaising with managers regarding the training matrix and joining in on gap analysis meetings.
  • Working with Health and Safety Executive inspectors as and when required.
  • Supporting all operations with Safe Working Procedure development.
  • Issuing PPE and maintaining records.
  • Developing and delivering H& S communications (toolbox talks, newsletters, posters etc)
  • Document control and managing Safe Working Procedures and Risk Assessments.
  • Conducting inductions.
Key Competencies
  • NEBOSH qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience within H&S preferable.
  • Able to demonstrate a positive impact on the H&S culture.
  • Full driving licence - Business travel required across 5 sites located in Nottingham and Leicester.
  • Professional and organised approach.
  • Good time management / ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Displays initiative.
  • Self-motivated / stand-alone capabilities.
  • Committed to develop the position.
