HR Business Partner

Reports To: Chief People Officer

Job Purpose 

This role is a strategic HR partner for a key business stream which operates across the UK – England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.  Partnership with the Managing Director, peer and support to the business stream leadership team. 

Summary of Responsibilities 

  • Design and delivery against an HR Strategy that incorporates the needs of the specific business stream
  • Manage HR Generalist within stream
  • Make full use of the centralised HR administration service
  • Collaborate with the wider HR Team to focus on harmonisation, centralisation and simplification 
  • Ensure the new performance management framework is fully implemented and operational
  • Facilitate a succession planning process for the stream with an implementation plan and measures to engineer success for individuals identified
  • Manage M&A – due diligence to integration for stream
  • Devise and report key HR metrics & KPIs alongside improvement plans to address
  • Focus talent retention strategies & collaborate across Enva to drive improvements
  • Report and address diversity in the stream – reporting on gender and age profiles to ensure succession planning and early talent is managed
  • Comfortable to present HR matters to Management team meetings and Enva Board as necessary
  • Facilitate an employee engagement strategy along with a survey and action planning process aligned with the group
  • Facilitate leadership assimilations for external hires and internal promotions to ensure a smoother transition
  • Partner with L&OD in regard to Apprenticeship Schemes, potential graduate programs and leadership development
  • Conduct train the trainer sessions as appropriate for certain skillset or knowledge roll outs
  • Drive a culture of continuous professional development (CPD) allowing our people to take charge of their own development and ensure they have access to the right support, at the right time
  • Develop metrics to assess the effectiveness of the HR function
  • Support the development of clear and relevant policies and procedures 
  • Procure support from third parties as necessary 
  • Conduct a full audit and make recommendations as to how each Business Unit tracks and manages training for its employees
  • Ensure in all projects, processes, and roadmaps we seek the input & shared best practice from incumbent HR Teams
  • Devise a communication strategy in order engage employees within the stream

Experience 

  • Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience within HRM level role
  • Degree (or equivalent) and relevant professional qualifications
  • Ideally experience within manufacturing environments, FMCG and Pharma organisations

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with ability to communicate at all levels
