LGV Driver - Trade

Role overview

Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity for a LGV Driver to join our Trade team in Nottingham commencing at 04:00am - 13:45pm for a 45 hour a week shift.  The role will service trade bin customers within different environments ensuring excellent customer service, a high level of perception ensuring yours and others Health & safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring your own health and safety and that of others and promoting a positive health and safety culture within the workplace
  • Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence
  • Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport department
  • Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns
  • Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste 
  • The he use of a handheld device ( to confirm collections have been made.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle cab
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service
  • Actively take part in the driver debrief at the end of each shift highlighting any safety issues, vehicle defects and recommending route and customer improvements. 

Key Competencies:

  • Class 2 LGV driving licence
  • Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • Professional and organised approach
  • Good time management / ability to work in a fast paced environment
