Maintenance Engineer with Electrical Bias (Stourbridge)

We are a specialist recycling and reuse company for refrigerators and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with some mechanical skills for our site in the West Midlands.

We want people who thrive in a diverse and challenging work environment. Ideally applicants would have electrical qualifications and come from an industrial background.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small team working on a wide range of machinery, this position would suit an Engineer able to be part of projects, overhauling and adapting machinery, alongside reactive and planned preventive maintenance.

Hours of work are rotating weekly Monday to Friday – 6am-3pm/9am-6pm

What we’re looking for:
  • Apprentice trained / time served in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience of fault finding, motor control, sensors, safety circuits, PLC's, inverters, installation, and electrical drawings etc.
  • Some mechanical knowledge would be an advantage - Conveyors, welding pipework, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
  • You would be able to look for continuous improvement of the plant to identify new methods and procedures.
  • Able to work as part of a small team with a flexible and a right first-time approach.
  • Good attention to detail is essential, the role of an Engineer is vital to our operation.
  • A good understanding of work-based instructions and the ability to pick up new ways of working quickly.
Duties Include:
  • Following the maintenance schedule to ensure that all operational plant is running.
  • Contribute towards the design of equipment, overhauling and adapting machinery.
  • Utilising downtime in order to identify and carry out preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Carrying out required maintenance to all areas of the site’s facilities.
  • Effectively managing your time in order to complete all planned, unplanned maintenance, cleaning and repairs.

Knowledge and experience in a production driven environment or recycling plant would be an advantage.
