We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Shift Engineer with a background in Heavy industrial mechanical/electrical maintenance (preferably apprentice trained and multi-skilled, however consideration will be given to mechanical or electrical biased engineers)
Responsibilities will include:
Fault finding and maintenance modern processing equipment and plant
Effecting timely and appropriate repairs and identifying solutions for long term asset reliability
Completion of shift reports
Completion of risk assessments and ensuring control measures are in place
Ideally, you will possess experience in all or some of the following:
Fabrication and MIG welding experience essential, stick welding an advantage
Previous fabrication experience of a variety of parts both small and large from drawing or own design as required
Fabrication and installation of finished parts
Production plant control technology including PLC and inverter-controlled systems (Siemens preferred)
Industrial 3 phase experience (installation and repair)
Electrical control systems with the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
City and Guilds 17th Edition
The successful candidate will have experience of proactive and reactive maintenance with good problem-solving skills. They will be required to work on their own initiative and as part of the team with experience of working in a fast-paced challenging environment so the ability to keep calm under pressure and still produce a high standard of work is essential. You will also have a good health and safety background with experience of continuous improvement.
12 hour / 4 on 4 off continental day shift to start, but must be prepared to rotate between days and nights
