Payroll Administrator

We are actively seeking a meticulous and organised Payroll Administrator to support the team at our Nottingham site. This role is a fixed-term contract, finishing in March 2024, with an immediate start. The position offers flexible working hours, spread across 3 or 5 days per week, totalling 24 hours weekly.

The Role

As a Payroll Administrator reporting directly to the HR and Payroll Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes, contributing significantly to the satisfaction and well-being of our workforce. Your primary responsibility will be to manage payroll functions precisely and efficiently, adhering to legal requirements and industry best practices.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately calculating wages and salaries based on collected data such as timesheets and attendance records.
  • Processing various forms of employee compensation, including regular pay, overtime, bonuses, and commissions, using MS Excel.
  • Addressing and resolving payroll-related inquiries from employees, management, and external parties promptly.
  • Assisting in implementing and optimising new HR and Time & Attendance systems and processes.
  • Administering the Reward & Recognition scheme and ensuring timely pension administration.
  • Supporting managers with timesheet administration, holiday, and absence reporting.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A-level qualifications.
  • A deep understanding of payroll processes and a proficiency in computer applications.
  • Previous experience in payroll administration and a good grasp of payroll legislation.
  • A methodical and process-driven approach, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.
