Project Manager/Contracts Manager

Our Industrial Services division is recruiting an experienced project manager to join the team at mid management level and take on ownership and responsibility of projects ranging from €10,000 to €1m plus in value. Roles available based from Portlaoise/Dublin/Cork/Shannon offices but flexibility for nationwide travel would be required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The Industrial Services division of Enva provide high end environmental/engineering solutions involving directly employed engineers, technician and operators, large amount of bespoke and complex equipment similar to construction industry and technical solutions to waste management, water and waste treatment.

We are seeking an experienced project manager to join the team at mid management level and take on ownership and responsibility of projects ranging from €10,000 to €1m plus in value. To Manage individual or multiple projects in terms of:

  • H&S
  • Compliance with waste handling procedures
  • Operational deliverables
  • Program
  • Profitability

This role requires initiative, drive and dedication to ensure that the business unit grows and develops.

The role offers significant potential for rapid personal growth and development. This role may suit a civil, environmental mechanical or chemical engineer or scientist looking to work within the environmental, water or waste water sector.

Technical/Project Management

  • Strong engineering or technical primary degree
  • Appetite to take ownership of projects, commercial and operationally
  • Strong practical and energetic approach to managing projects, including direct employees, sub-contractors etc
  • Project management experience, managing budgets, deliverables and safety
  • Good report writing skills, proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) knowledge on project management and/or drawing/mapping software and advantage
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies and other stake holders, monitor projects budgets and programmes.

Business Development

  • Support in developing the sales pipeline, meeting and developing opportunities with new prospects and existing clients
  • Preparation of proposals and profit and loss accounts for new projects with existing customers
  • Assist in driving forward the development of new service offerings within Enva.

R&D

  • Research and support new initiatives to maintain Enva’s position as an innovator and a forward thinker in the waste and water sectors within Ireland and the UK.

General

  • To act courteously and communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, Enva personnel and other personnel encountered within your role
  • To foster and develop good customer and public relations at all times and to portray a professional image of the company
  • To report for work in a timely manner and to conduct work as scheduled to company and customer satisfaction
  • To work within the instructions and procedures of the Company’s systems as directed by your Manager or other management as appropriate
  • To conduct all duties in a constructive and productive manner aligned to the interests of the company and management
  • To act diligently and professionally in the interests of the Company
  • To demonstrate a willingness to promote the positive development of the business to all stakeholders of the business including customers but also extending to staff, contractors, EPA, HSA etc.
