Quality Inspector (Newbridge)

An opportunity has arisen for two Quality Inspectors to join the Operations team based at our Newbridge site. These are both full-time, permanent roles.

Reporting to the Depot Manager, the successful applicants will be responsible for assessing the loads of incoming waste materials, keeping records of loads, and completing the relevant paperwork.

Key Roles and Responsibilities will include:

  • Assessment of incoming loads, ensuring they are as expected and match the paperwork
  • Recording incoming and outgoing loads, and completing relevant paperwork
  • Managing traffic on site in line with traffic management plan
  • Providing banksman service to reversing vehicles if required 
  • Assisting with loading/unloading of vehicles if required 
  • Any other ADHOC duties required, subject to correct training.

The right candidate will demonstrate:

  • Courteous and professional manner at all times – this role is customer facing 
  • Understanding of waste and recycling streams, and the correct disposal avenues
  • Ability to multi-task – at peak times there will be multiple vehicles requiring attention
  • Computer literate – assessment and recording software is tablet based

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience in waste/recycling industry is required as a starting point for company specific training
  • FLT experience would be beneficial but is not essential

Salary and Benefits:

  • Earn up to £11.12 per hour
