Sales Coordinator (On Demand Services)

Sales Coordinator (On Demand Service) - The Role:

To establish and maintain relationships with on demand customers ensuring regular interaction, leading to frequent order placement and a high-quality service provision. Attract new and potential customers via proactive outbound calls with support from marketing collateral to self-generate and increase the on demand “pay as you go” client base.

Sales Coordinator (On Demand Service) - Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and target specified geographic regions for on demand customer services.
  • Research and target specified customer sectors.
  • To ensure regular contact via phone and email to all waste producing clients within allocated regions that are recognised as within that PAYG segment. Establish yourself as main point of contact and proactively interact with the existing and prospective customers. 
  • Meet weekly targets for order placement of chargeable waste services.
  • Utilising existing customer base to actively develop and promote a variety of waste service lines depending on seasonality, business demands and promotional offers.
  • Identify opportunities and initiatives to win back previous PAYG customers that may have lapsed.
  • Advise customers on correct segregation and compliance with the hazardous waste regulations in order to improve inbound waste material and increase spend.
  • Deal with all inbound PAYG enquiries escalated from customer services and track via CRM to closure stage. 
  • Escalate wider opportunities to business development team. 
  • Place orders for customers.
  • Target specific areas of the region for new opportunities.
  • Achieve weekly group KPI targets and comment / submit reports on the development of these vs budget. 
  • Work alongside Group marketing to design supportive media and collateral to support ongoing promotions or initiatives.

Knowledge, Training, Experience, Technical and Personal Skills:


  • Proven sales background.
  • Customer Service and outbound telesales experience.
  • Experience of working within a target driven environment and an understanding of CRM would be beneficial.
  • A pro-active ability to independently develop new business.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong telephone manner.
  • Excellent numerical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Problem solving and solution focussed ability.

  • A flexible attitude to the team’s work, including a willingness to reprioritise and undertake additional tasks if required.
  • Strong PC and technical knowledge and skills with an excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Teams.
