An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Data Analyst to join Enva to play an integral role in delivering a key project. This is a project role based from home however should be able to travel frequently to our sites in central Scotland .

Reporting to the Head of IT Applications, the Senior Business Data Analyst will work with stakeholders from business units throughout Enva and relevant third parties to deliver upon a proposed data governance programme to improve data quality within our core systems and business processes.

A Senior Business Data Analyst officer with some experience is required, who has a strong background in client and team requirements gathering. Responsibilities will be expected to be developed and finalised over time and will include but will not be restricted to leading and carrying out:

  • Building and maintaining a detailed audit of Enva’s core systems and information assets that are held in these systems, as well as the teams and processes that use them.
  • Create and maintain ownership accountability of the Rapid Start Master Data
  • Ability to complete and understand the Rapid Start Master Data Training
  • Help establish best practice and ownership of the corporate taxonomy and ontology, and develop rules for their use understand the Rapid Start Master Data Training
  • Align the data governance programme to the enterprise information strategy 
  • Support and supervise information stewardship activities and management of data quality, retention and uses.
  • Support project planning and management to ensure best practice with regards to data governance 
  • Monitor data on a regular basis to ensure data quality
  • Work closely with 3rd party project teams.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • At least three years’ experience working within an information or data governance setting perhaps with an information management or data governance qualification.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is a prerequisite.
  • Ideally with knowledge of and demonstrable experience in SQL databases
  • Experienced in working in complex operational processes across multiple jurisdictions
  • Demonstrate experience in and a good understanding of information management practices including information lifecycle management, data modelling, master data management and carrying out business audits and requirements gathering
  • Understand Products, Items, Equipment, Services, Financial Processes, Operational Processes and Customers, User Permissions, Vehicles etc.
  • Experience in system testing and creating test scripts
