Site Supervisor

You will work 45 hours a week, worked 07:00am – 17:00pm, plus Saturdays paid at overtime on a rota.

Overview of Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will drive a positive and progressive culture throughout your team.   You will be responsible for improving production in line with business targets and ensuring optimum plant performance. 

The successful applicant will have proven track record in a ‘hands on’ supervisory role and will have a good understanding of mechanical processes and materials handling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health
• Participate in Internal HSE Audits and close out actions in a timely manner
• Responsible for the morale of the team ensuring they are adequately trained to carry out their roles
• Ensure production throughput is in line with plan
• Effectively manage plant downtime
• Ensure Risk Assessments and Standard Working Procedures are reviewed and updated as required
• Drive quality and compliance of material
• Complete material composition analysis daily and highlight areas of concern
• Drive good housekeeping principles and carry out audits
• Complete accurate reports regarding plant availability, production, and recovery
• Support continuous improvement activities on site
• Daily running of the site and plant safely, compliant and within Budget

Key Competencies

• Previous supervisory experience
• Budgeting experience/knowledge 
• Work well under pressure
• First Aider is desirable, or must willing attend training
• Track record of driving Health & Safety
• Preferably with a background in waste management or within a heavy industry environment
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise an everchanging workload.
