Traffic Controller 

An opportunity has arisen for a Traffic Controller to join our Transport department based at our Irvine site. This is a full-time, permanent role.

Reporting to the Depot Manager, the successful applicant will be an individual who can work under their own initiative and is confident dealing with both internal and external customers. 

The roles and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full operational and cost-effective management of the transport operations.
  • Responsible for routing and scheduling of vehicle movements, ensuring vehicle profit is maintained and exceeded. 
  • Ensure drivers comply with drivers’ hours regulations, other legal requirements, and company policies.
  • Ensure Vehicle defects are booked for repairs.
  • Document management (control of waste transfer notes, work sheets and related paperwork)
  • Liaison with customers and other depots/departments to ensure that requirements are met
  • Any other ad hoc duties

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of MS Office is essential
  • Experience in a similar role would be advantageous
  • Standard Grades in English and Mathematics 

Salary and Benefits:

  • Earn up to £32,265 per year
  • Monday to Friday day shifts 
  • 26 days holiday plus 4 public holidays at Christmas and New Year
